Since the point of this blog is to document our life as we wait for Caroline I decided to take the challenge of Project 365. http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/ If I take a picture everyday between now and bringing Caroline home. I will have a lot pictures to share with Caroline one day.

Every call has a beginning.
Every call has a beginning.
A quiet moment when God whispers a promise to a mother’s heart
A holy place where a father bows and faithfully accepts the journey set before him
A miraculous morning that unexpectedly dawns…
Casting its first light on a chosen threshold
A gentle knock...
A closed door opens.
A sacred invitation sent by the Father...
Leads to the other side of the world.
Where lonely hearts stare out orphanage windows
Praying for someone to care...
And then one morning,
On an ordinary day
An orphan’s life changes...
God sends them a second chance...
Through you...

Rock Star
On Saturday the 14th Nara had her class Birthday Party. The Theme was Rock Star. The guests had a lot of fun with a bounce house, slide, snow cones, strawberry slushies and lots of music. Nara and I had a lot of fun planning the party. The party was great and the kids had fun but I think for Nara and I we will remember the birthday as the one that we shoved 36 heart balloons into my car. After struggling to get the balloons in my car we were constantly honked at, and pointed at as we drove down the road. We laughed the entire way home.
Devon was in charge of the music. He did a great job with the Rock Star theme. Tori and Alex helped entertain the younger kids. It took all three of them to supervise busting of the Electric Guitar Pinata.
I think Rick and I are already looking forward to her party next year.

Trip to NY
The last few weeks I have really been absent from the blog world. Between being out of town and being sick I have not posted much. Below I have tried to summarize the last few weeks. Rick and I went to NYC for 5 days in January. This is my second time visiting New York City. However, this is my first time visiting in the winter. We had a lot of fun exploring the city however; the temperature was a little rough for this Florida girl. We stayed for the second time in a great condo in Battery Park. It is very close to everything. It is on the 24th floor and it has a great view of the Hudson River and the Statue of Liberty. The owner of the condo is always fantastic and always gives us a great deal. If you are planning a trip to NY e-mail me and I will give you the details. On our last day in the city we took a train to NJ to visit Rick’s Uncle and Aunt. We had a great dinner and enjoyed seeing his family.

Nara's Birthday Dinner
We started off with a family dinner at a Japanese Steak House. We really enjoyed watching the chef cook. We ended the night at the Cheese Cake Factory for cheesecake. The next day Nara’s friend Sammy came over where we celebrated again with a cake and a trip to the local fair. Stay tuned for more pictures Nara is having a class party next weekend.
