First Day of Summer VPK

Caroline had the opportunity to attend a Pre K program with the local school system all summer. It is a long summer and a long day but we thought it would be good for her. She has a great teacher with a small class size.

Until Today Caroline has either gone to a home daycare, the pre-school attached to the high school where I work or she has attended a Pre K program at the local Catholic School. So needles to say dropping her off at a big public school was hard I was having trouble finding the courage to walk away and Caroline turned to me and said “Mommy you can go. I am OK. I am almost 5.” I think I have an independent daughter.

Good Friends

Caroline and Bee were adopted at the same age about a month a part. Bee is from Korea and Caroline is from China.  They have attended the same Bible Study program for a few years now. They always seem to find each other and have become good friends.

 

Summer Vacation Deerfield Beach

Rick had a work conference in Deerfield  Beach for a few days. The girls and I were out of school so we decided to turn it in to a mini vacation. We are Florida girls so we live close to a beach but it is always nice trying out a different beach. We loved the beach during the day and then we explored the town in the evening

She is a real Florida girl.

Without much planning Nara decided to partipate in the Ms. Fort Myers pageant. She enjoyed the pageant and did very well on the interview section. Nara won  first runner up. We were proud.

First "real" Photo Shoot

Caroline started modeling in January. Caroline has always loved acting and loved the stage. She has been in the Nutcracker for the last two years. Modeling just seemed like the next step.  Last week she participated in her first model photo shoot. She absolutely loved it. Her pictures were taken by photographer Peter Baratti . Her favorite part was getting her hair and makeup done.
