Universal: Halloween Horror

We got back from Universal’s Halloween Horror earlier today. It was a quick 24 hour trip.

In August we promised Nara that if she received all A’s and B’s that we would take her to Halloween Horror. Rick and I have been several times over the years and have really enjoyed a quick getaway in October. Nara has always wanted to go. She is almost 14 so we thought she would be old enough to attend. It became clear on Thursday that she was going to get all A’s and B’s (including Algebra).

Rick and I are really not into haunted houses so we always just walk around and enjoy getting a little scared and enjoy people watching. I am glad to be home and wish I had another weekend to recover before heading back to work tomorrow. I will post photos later.

Look Who is Coming Home

My beautiful niece Emma is coming home. Emma is a freshman at Ole Miss. I have not seen her since she left for college in August. She will only be home for the weekend but it will be so nice to see her. Caroline often tells people that Emma is at college. She is thrilled that she gets to spend time with her this weekend.

Halloween Horror at Universal

We gave Nara the challenge of getting all A’s and B’s this quarter. As an  8th grader she is taking two high school classes so her grades are very important. We told her that if she got all A’s and B’s that we would take her to Halloween Horror at Universal. As of today it looks like she is going to pull it off and that we are going to be spending sometime celebrating ghosts and gobbling’s and good grades.

Sports Day at School

Caroline was able to shed her normal uniform at her Catholic School and enjoy wearing normal clothes. The school celebrated sports day at school all students were asked to bring a dollar and wear a sports shirt. We are big University of Miami fans and Miami Dolphin Fans so Caroline wanted to wear her Hurricane Jersey.

Old Photo Day

Where did time go? She was 5 and loved Spider Man. Now she is 13 and stayed up to 130 last night doing home work. I guess she is a big girl now.
