Weekend Fun

My parents are back in Florida for a few weeks. Summer is not a time they are usually here. Caroline has enjoyed spending time with them. She loves to shop and swim. This weekend Aunt Kelly and Mammy took her shopping and swimming . Caroline loves hanging out with family.

Looking Forward to Five

Caroline has waited for July to get her for a long time. A few days ago we went out to dinner to celebrate July. Our little Ruby turns 5 on the 29th. We have a lot of celebrating to do this month.

My Favorite Dinner Date

Rick is out of town so. Caroline and I have had fun staying up late and going out to dinner. However, we were almost late for VPK today because we just did not want to get up. I love my girl.

July 4th Weekend

This year has been a low key summer and July 4th was no exception. In the years past we have gone to the beach or had a party but due to a foot injury of Ricks we decided to stay close to home. Here are a few photos from our weekend.

Nara started her first job last week and she had to work.

Rick, Caroline and I had a great lunch and then on Satuday we went to dinner and a movie.

First Day of Summer VPK

Caroline had the opportunity to attend a Pre K program with the local school system all summer. It is a long summer and a long day but we thought it would be good for her. She has a great teacher with a small class size.

Until Today Caroline has either gone to a home daycare, the pre-school attached to the high school where I work or she has attended a Pre K program at the local Catholic School. So needles to say dropping her off at a big public school was hard I was having trouble finding the courage to walk away and Caroline turned to me and said “Mommy you can go. I am OK. I am almost 5.” I think I have an independent daughter.

Good Friends

Caroline and Bee were adopted at the same age about a month a part. Bee is from Korea and Caroline is from China.  They have attended the same Bible Study program for a few years now. They always seem to find each other and have become good friends.

 

Summer Vacation Deerfield Beach

Rick had a work conference in Deerfield  Beach for a few days. The girls and I were out of school so we decided to turn it in to a mini vacation. We are Florida girls so we live close to a beach but it is always nice trying out a different beach. We loved the beach during the day and then we explored the town in the evening

Soccer

Caroline has always loved activities. She has participated in dance, gymnastics, theater and modeling. Up until this spring she has never really participated in a sport. Caroline started soccer in March. She plays for a youth league in our town. We have all enjoyed it. It is safe to say she is not afraid of the ball.
